讲座内容简介:

We will show how the Hunter-Saxton equation and its two-component generalization can be obtained from KP-Toda hierarchy. It is interesting that the two-component Hunter-Saxton equation and the Camassa-Holm equation share the same set of bilinear equations but through different hodograph transformations.  The multi-soliton solutions is constructed and some properties of one and two-soliton solutions will be analyzed. This is joint work with Prof. Senyue Lou at Ningbo University and Prof. Ruoxia Yao at Shaanxi Normal University.

讲座人简介:

Professor Baofeng Feng is the professor of University of Texas--Pan American. He received his B.S. degree of Tsinghua University in 1989, obtained respectively his M.S. degree of Nagoya University in 1997 and Ph.D. degree of Kyoto University in 2000. His research interests include Integrable system and discrete Integrable systems, scientific calculation and numerical method of partial differential equation, nonlinear wave, formation of lattice point and perturbation method. He has published more than 50 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
